Full Time Senior Pharmacy Technician at Nkhotakota District Council
Job Description
The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians to fill the following vacant posts that exist in the various sectors of Nkhotakota District Council.
JOB TITLE: SENIOR PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
GRADE : J/M8
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be serving Pharmacy Technician (Grade K/M9) with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience at that grade in Local Assemblies.
DUTIES:
Checking stocks and making orders from the Bulk store.
Cleaning pharmacy floors, wiping benches and dusting stock containers.
Pre-packing drugs ready for dispensing.
Issue required medicine to patients and give instructions on how to use and store the medicine.
Supervision of Pharmacy Technicians
Management of pharmaceutical supplies for Hospital wards, health centers etc.
Manufactures limited range of medicines including packaging and labeling under pharmacists supervision.
Ensures correct drug storage in all pharmacy units.
Keeping adequate records of all stocks movement into and existing Pharmacy units.
Ensure proper and complete recording of data in relevant registers and instruments, timely compilation and analysis of data, perform routine monitoring following HMIS guidelines, take necessary action for improvements and submit quarterly and other reports to the designated officer.
