Job Title: Marketing Officer

Reports To: Sales and Marketing Manager

Location: Lilongwe

Job Summary

The Marketing Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive traffic, engagement, and revenue to the company’s e-commerce platform. This includes managing social media channels, marketing campaigns, digital marketing strategy and social media channels.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Marketing Campaigns
    • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to create brand awareness, drive traffic and revenue to the e-commerce platform.
    • Develop promotional activities, including discounts, giveaways, and contests.
    • Create marketing materials, including product descriptions, images, and videos.
    • Collaborate with the creative team to develop marketing collateral, including emails, ads, and social media content.
  2. Content Marketing
    • Develop and execute a content marketing strategy to drive traffic and engagement to the e-commerce platform.
    • Develop blog posts, social media content, and other content to educate and engage customers.
    • Optimize content for search engines to increase visibility and traffic.
  3. Analytics and Reporting
    • Analyze campaign performance and provide regular reports to the E-Commerce Manager.
    • Use analytics tools, including Google Analytics and social media analytics, to track website traffic, engagement, and conversion rates.
    • Use A/B testing to improve campaign performance and user experience.
  4. Customer Acquisition and Retention
    • Develop strategies to acquire new customers and retain existing ones.
    • Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure a positive customer experience.
    • Develop email marketing campaigns and loyalty programs to retain customers and increase customer lifetime value.
  5. Digital Marketing Strategy
    • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to drive traffic, engagement, and revenue to the e-commerce platform.
    • Identify and target key audiences through social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM and paid advertising.
    • Continuously optimize digital marketing campaigns to improve ROI and performance.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and e-commerce.
  6. Any other duties assigned


  • Minimum of a Diploma in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in running marketing campaigns
  • Experience with managing marketing campaigns, social media management, email marketing, paid advertising, and SEO/SEM
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and other digital marketing tools
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Creative thinker with a passion for e-commerce and digital marketing
